Why our pathway is faster
Most hypnotherapy programs drag on for months, with long gaps that break learning flow.
We train differently — through continuous, guided cohorts that build skill week by week in a focused progression. No long pauses, no loss of momentum — just real competency, developed systematically.
Result:
IMDHA-approved professional certification in 3 months — built on consistency, not shortcuts.
And instead of legacy “depth-level” models or outdated metaphysical language, our curriculum aligns with modern neuroscience and psychological principles of how hypnosis actually works.
We don’t teach old hypnosis — we teach evidence-based hypnosis, the way the brain and mind work today.

Frequently Asked Questions
1) How is this different from other hypnotherapy courses?
Most hypnotherapy programs run for 12–18 months with long gaps between modules. Our 3-month program offers continuous live teaching, supervision, and feedback — combining science-based learning with real-time skill development.
2) Is this recognised internationally?
Yes. IAHHA is one of only two South African schools approved by the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA, USA), providing globally recognised professional certification. Graduates may register directly with IMDHA for international membership and CPD opportunities.
3) Do I need any background in psychology or hypnosis to join?
No prior training is required. The program is built from first principles and teaches hypnosis through clear, science-based foundations — open to anyone aged 18+.
4) Can I actually start seeing clients after this?
Yes. The training is built for applied professional competence. You graduate with structured session frameworks, supervised practice experience, and the confidence to begin seeing clients within your non-medical scope of practice.
5) What is my weekly time commitment?
Each cohort runs for approximately 3 months. Expect two focused live training sessions weekly, plus practical application work and home study. Class times are adjusted for working professionals, and schedules are confirmed prior to enrolment.
6) How often do intakes happen?
We offer three certification intakes per year — January, May, and September. Each cohort runs for around three months, with schedules finalised to accommodate different time zones and working professionals.
We create empowered practitioners — not script readers
Traditional hypnosis training often relies on generic scripts, leaving students dependent on external material rather than true understanding.
Our approach is different. You’ll learn the science and psychology behind how hypnosis and hypnotherapeutic techniques actually work — and how to design your own client-specific protocols confidently and ethically.
You’ll also learn how to use AI tools to structure sessions and craft personalised suggestions responsibly, so you’re never reliant on pre-written scripts or protocol libraries again.
You graduate empowered — scientifically informed, creative, and independent.
Unless you are a licensed healthcare or mental health professional, the training provided through IAHHA qualifies you to practice professional hypnotherapy in a non-medical, educational, or wellness context only. This certification is for professional hypnotherapy practice — it does not grant a medical, psychological, or clinical licence.
