About the IAHHA
The International Academy of Hypnosis & Healing Arts (IAHHA) is an IMDHA-approved international training school dedicated to teaching how hypnosis actually works — through the lens of modern neuroscience, psychology, and applied behavioural science.
We focus on:
-
evidence-based understanding of hypnosis, demystified and science-grounded
-
hypnotic induction as a skill, not a script
-
real-world professional practice, with live coaching, supervision, and feedback
Unlike most programs that teach techniques before building real hypnotic skill, we take a different approach.
We develop competent, confident hypnotists first — then teach the therapeutic applications. Our students master the process, not just the protocol.
IAHHA welcomes international students seeking a non-medical, professional hypnotherapy certification. Core training is delivered live online, with optional in-person weekends offered when cohort size allows.

Hypnotherapist • Educator • IAHHA Founder
From a young age, I was fascinated by the power and potential of the mind. My early curiosity became a lifelong professional calling when I discovered the transformative possibilities of hypnosis — a discipline that bridges science, psychology, and human experience.
Today I run an active private hypnotherapy practice in Knysna, South Africa, and serve as Founder and Lead Educator of the International Academy of Hypnosis & Healing Arts (IAHHA). I’m an IMDHA-certified hypnotherapist (non-medical), featured in Fair Lady Magazine (2022), and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt — where I also teach the principles of embodied focus and mastery.
My teaching philosophy is simple: everything I teach is field-tested first. Every protocol in our curriculum originates from real client sessions, refined through supervision and measurable outcomes. I believe effective hypnotherapy is both art and applied behavioural science — and I teach it that way.
I also had the privilege of being mentored by the late Jonathan Chase, internationally respected hypnotist and mentalist.
I continue to work privately with a limited number of clients on high-impact personal change projects, available by referral or request.
